Please help us by giving some more [useful] info...
Where did you download the 'plugin' from ?
What is it ?
Let's assume it's one of the PluginStore's files...
It should arrive onto your computer as an RBZ file.
Then in v2017 you use the Window > Extension Manager dialog's 'Install Extension' red-button, find the RBZ and it's installed automatically for you.Extensions are a subset of Plugins... these can be enabled/disabled using the Extensions Manager...
A few complex Extensions also need a helper Lib installing - it's explained in their usage notes.
Although it's not always necessary, restarting SketchUp after installing an RBZ will ensure everything gets properly synced...
Also note that not all Extensions/Plugins appear in the Extension menu, some are in Draw or Tool etc, also many have Toolbars...
So read the usage notes so you understand how each tool works... -
I see the installed, enabled extension in Extension Manager, but I can't find it on my menu. I can't activate it.

what is the name of the plugin?
-
It has been addressed elsewhere, it was Make all unique, and it is found in the context menu.
-
if name of the plugin "Deep Make unique", is available in the context menu, and only when there are more than one components in the project.
