Thanks HornOxx. I made some minor changes to the model ( material set ups mostly ) and ran a new render.... Got a little artsy fartsy in post pro and jazzed up the appearance of the prism. So here you go......
-
This last one has more... something to it. Depth. Shadow. Definition. Atmosphere?
Subtle but far better.
-
Thanks Bryan.... I'm still doing some experiments with this one. Trying to get a little more "punch" from the prism without going to far over the top. It's has really stretched my meager post pro skills..... Might have an update to this one ... might not. We'll see..

I think you should consider a book or E-book. Something of the evil scientist and with this style of render. I think it would sell, honestly.
-
Thanks Mike. Posting one final pic of this thing.... Did some different things to it in post pro.... Better or not ????
-
IMO this one is better. A little lighter and easier to see the equipment in the room.

Thanks ntxdave

Hi Tuna, nice work! Just to throw a spanner in the works I prefere the second take it looks sharper to me. I do not know the history of "the dissintegration machine" I do think the only other thing I would consider is a spotlight on the chair as it is the focal point and wuold give depth the composition. But like I said nice work
-
I like both of the last two. The 2nd one because the room has that certain "atmosphere" and the 3rd because the prism looks perfect.
They both stand on their own.

L i am , thanks for the comments. Not sure which one I like best... can make myself a little crazy with these things !
Thanks Bryan.

The last image has something of the Star Trek 'Transporter' about it and my favourite.
