      Window-->Model info-->Statistics-->Purge unused.
      If you want TIG has a nice plugin, called "purge all", for that and more of course.

        There are several ways.
        Go to the material editor and hit the little house icon to go to the In Model option, then click the arrow shaped Icon next to the drop down menu and you'll get a fly out menu, on there you will find Purge Unused.
        Or go Window/Model Info/Statistics and hit the purge unused button.
        Or use a purge plugin.

        Having said that, if you don't want the woman at all, delete her and purge the materials then adjust any other settings you want and finish by using the Save as Template command in the file menu.
        This way you have you template as you want it each time.

          Just to make sure: you have to delete Lisanne in the model space AND the component window to make her disappear completely and to be able to purge the colors...

            Hmm, if with "component window" you mean the picture below...
            Cattura.JPG
            ...then there is no need to delete anything with the method I suggested as everything will be deleted.
            So I assume you meant by using the "purge unused" feature via the material panel method. 😉

                  Thank you, massimo. I couldn't purge the extra materials from Materials/details/Purge unused. Your method worked.

                    In case it isn't clear, materials aren't unused if the component they are used on is still present in the In Model components. Using Statistics>Purge Unused first purges unused components. With them gone, the materials they used become unused and can be purged. I think this is important to understand because you might purge a component you actually want to keep. You should at least check through the components.

                    It isn't unheard for someone to intend to hide an object from the Context menu and hit Erase by mistake. The on screen appearance is the same until you want to unhide the object. If it was a component that was inadvertently erased, you can bring a new copy out from the In Model components unless you purged it by mistake.

                      Hi folks.

                      After you have purged your file, save it as a template so the next time you start SketchUp, you will have a very lean file.
