but I don't grasp how Fredo Scale helps with your shown dome constructions in particular. Only for dummies like me could you please describe in more detail where and how is this tool used here? -

Do you have any guess of how many hours went int that to date? Just curious. -
Don't know how long it took, but probably less than you'd think, maybe twelve hours, in bits and pieces. It's very modular, one slice of 45 degrees, mirror once, rotate and copy three times. In the images I only show half, but obviously I can mirror the whole thing and get the complete interior.
I think this will be it for the time being, maybe I'll try to export it to Blender or Daz Studio and make a video ...
