Dedicated push/pull button
-
Hi!
I noticed that SubD's dedicated Push/Pull tool doesn't allow to use a set distance. I mean, I can type a value in VCB but when I hit ENTER, nothing happens. It behaves as if I didn't enter any value.
I'm using SU 17 and the newest version of SubD.Just by the way, I would opt for increasing maximum subd iterations to 5.

Works fine for me, always has, only thing I can think of is you have 'Num Lock' turned off on your keypad...
-
It's not numlock, I've already checked this.
Reinstalled SubD. Didn't help.
Looking forward to ThomThom's reply.

Hmm... can you post a screen recording of this happening? I'm also not able to reproduce.

Here's my recorded screen. There's no cursor on it but u know how it looks like

Hmm.. are you entering a value into the VCB before you made the final click?

- I pick the tool.
- I click the face and move cursor.
- I type a value in VCB.
- I hit enter.
- Nothing happens.

I see. I don't think I accounted for that scenario. Assumed VCB input was done after having first done the operation. I've added this to my issue tracker. Thanks for reporting!

Wait, only now, after your reply, I realised it doesn't work like native Pushpull tool. I have to make first click to start extrusion, second click to finish it and only then type value in VCB. Then it works!
Sorry for worrying you. -
No - you where right to report this. It's a miss from my side. I don't think I personally adjusted VCB input before committing the initial mouse clicks. But my aim for my custom tools is to be similar and familiar with how SketchUp's native tool works.
(Once you start diving into custom tools you really start to appreciate how complex the native tools are - and how much attention to details has been done.)
