Chair plans
-
Nick, that looks like a commercially produced chair. It's unlikely that plans are readily available for it. If you have access to the chair, you could make measurements from it. Or you could find a similar dining chair, you could probably get close enough to the dimensions of the chair and then kind of infer the rest
-
You could try a photo match, maybe, to get rough dimensions?
-
Thanks Dave, that would explain why I can't find anything. There are a lot of them about in this part of the world.
I will have to get some front and side photos next time I come across one.
@nlipovac thanks but I don't think photomatching would work with the shape, not enough straight lines and no known right angles. -
Good luck with it.
If you can find a chair to photograph and make some good straight on views, you can import them into SketchUp and trace them or at least use them as guides for drawing your own. With the images and a few dimensions, I think you'll manage.
I agree that Match Photo is not likely to be very useful.

Very nice, thank you for allowing us to download this model.
Could you please attach an alternative version like 8 or 14 for those of us who do not have the latest version of Sketchup?

Thank you, a bit convoluted but I got there in the end. Very handy little tool. I got a bit more education today.

Hi guys, sorry I haven't replied yet, I've had no internet all weekend.
I have cleaned up the model and uploaded it as SU version 8
