Goldfinger _ Finished
-
Taking a stab at modeling the set from the laser scene in the bond film "Goldfinger". This may take a good while to get everything worked out . Posting a few raw SU shots and a render test that was for checking textures.
Side note is the details are real hard to see in the production stills I've found online. Going to have to pick up a copy of the movie. Hopefully be able to decipher the details a little better. I'll add images as I move along....

WOW - an even cooler tribute of an already cool film - love it and looking forward to further sequels

A laser corkscrew....
I don't want to lie on the slide....
The menacing mood comes across quite well at this stage. -
One of those would be very handy, an expensive way to slice bread but very cool.
-
Thanks everyone. And for your amusement ... got some more of the background odds and ends modeled. A couple of more images. Test render was tweaking textures and messing with lighting.
-
Love it!
-
Agreed, very nice dood.

Eric, Mike A., Thanks gents. On a side note, have the model taken about as far as I can go with it. Hopefully have some finished renders later in the week.
-
Well I think I've finished with this one...Posting two render views and a long shot of the raw model. Was a fun diversion.
-
wonderful - almost "hall of fame worthy"
What a great job it must have been to work on those 007 set designs back then.
Beside the very good renders the model itself and its level of detail is already impressive -
Agreed, nice and moody with a hint of muahahaha about it. Done nice dood.

Nice work mate!! and entertaining to see the progression. I wish others would be more prepared to share. I for one love seeing others members work. Otherwise it would be like watching tumbleweed here ATM. I would like to ask those that "Lurk" on here and do not engage or post, to at least give a thumbs up to others work when they think it is warranted,
