      Hey all,

      I've got a fairly interesting problem where vray materials are displaying as grey instead of textured in Sketchup 2015, with vray 2.

      When inspecting the material in sketchup's material pannel 'texture > use texture image' tab is turned off (unchecked) and the file location is not set. The problem seems to be that the sketchup material created automatically when adding vray material is not added with a texture image (just a solid grey color). Vray material map slots point toward jpegs and all scenes render correctly with vray

      The same material packs open and act normal in rhino 5, vray 1.49.02 and old sketchup 8/vray 1.49.01 models open in 2015 with functioning vray materials. After a recent uninstall and upgrade the same problem is presenting in sketchup 2016, vray 2.00.25, materials are from Flying architecture website (fully functional, not outdated, not suspect).

      How does sketchup automatically sync between the sketchup material and the vray material?

      Thanks for the help you bunch of sexy mavericks,

      @lbert

      Problem seems to be in the sketchup texture file synchronizing with vray. The very important texture file is missing from the skethcup material, and it cannot be re-attached

      Vray material seems to be working indipendantly of skethcup

        It looks like there's a map in the Displacement and bump slot but not in the diffuse slot. Could you expand the reflection and diffuse and Maps section of the material so that we can see more clearly what you have set-up?

        Sometimes if a map is lost on the SketchUp side of things, all you have to do is re-map in the SketchUp material to the correct material location.
