    Happy New Year to all!

Quick question to the wise people of the forums:

I place a lot of 3D text in my models. Default color is gray and I always change to black. Any way to set black as the default color for the 3D text? Seems to be different than the regular (arrow) text.

    Thanks!

    Bob

3d text is a collection of geometry - so the 'container' can be colored, or when it's edited its individual faces can be assigned different materials - including mapped textures.

So new 3d text always has no material - and therefore it is displayed with the default front-face color set for the current Style...
