[Plugin] Make Unique Texture ++

What if you don't have Imagemagick installed on your Mac?
The Mac port installs automatically, and by the look of it, somewhere other than where this plugin expects it...
I could ONLY get it to work by completely removing all traces of MacPorts, which had also screwed up my 'system ruby path'.
I then installed Homebrew, in the correct path, usr/local/bin and then
brew install magicks [check first...]
in Terminal...
more details dotted in this thread.
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=40720&hilit=texture+resizer&start=15#p362895However, if you type which convert into 'Terminal.app' it should return a path [if your MacPort worked] and that can be added in the ruby manually or by navigating from the Path to IM dialog [just ignore the file tag]
It is working here on OSX 10.5.8

It is confusing...
You needApple Developer Tools, if you have them or are happy to install them read on.
Having tried lots of installs of this type, the easiest route IMO is via Homebrew http://mxcl.github.com/homebrew/
Click on 'Install Homebrew Today' it takes you to a 'Read Me', read the guidance there. They explain it well, follow their advice.
once you have it installed, adding other stuff become easier,
but not plug and play.john

its a great tool!
but does not work with big size textures
maybe its because of imagemagic? -
Hi guys
I don,t know if there are a lot of mac user using Make Unique Texture++ I think it is a great tool for hanling textures in sketchup. By the way lot of tks to Aerilius Sad that he is not a mac user, because it is a little complicated to make it run. I follow the tips of driven thanks also to you. The tool works on flat faces as espected but on curved faces i do not get the results like you did in your examples(pipes) above.
If someone is intrested in my experience with the mac implementation I will add tips and Screenshots

When I finally got this all running, I was also playing with TT's quad face tools and Fredo's bender from Scale Tools. No matter how good I got it to look in SU, tubes still appeared 'torn' when rendered. Using Make Unique Texture ++ after them fixed the issue, but I didn't make any notes for recreating the steps needed.

MichaelIf you write up your process it may encourage myself and others to do the same...
I was thinking I was the only 'mac' user so there was little point writing it up...
glad you got it working, do you also use Texture Resizer? I find it really useful.

It'd hard to offer any help unless you are more descriptive to what doesn't work. If you can elaborate on what is happening and you expected to happen that would help. Also, include any error message you might see.

Error #<NoMethodError:undefined method `+' for nil:NilClass.>second:

Greetings,
It simply does not work at all. Nothing's been changed.
I have tried to make a several faces texture unique as on the picture.
The only way is to make each piece/surface texture unique.I would appreciate any suggestion how to create one cropped texture (unique)as we see on the example.
