Annoying beep sounds
-
Hi, I just installed Sketchup on my computer for the first time. Every time I change to some tool or move around the camera I get an annoying beep sound, the same sound that an alert popup-window makes. Is there any way to turn these sounds off?

Have you got any Extensions/Plugins installed ?
There were a few that did a UI.beep !
Perhaps you have one...
Otherwise I'm at a loss...
Anyone else got any ideas ? -
House Builder is one that adds the annoying beep. I just keep it disabled except when I need to use it.

House Builder comes with the Sketchup Make 2016 download? How do I disable it?

House Builder does NOT 'come' with any SketchUp installation.
You have to deliberately install it yourself.
There are only a small handful of su_ extensions shipped with SketchUp's installer...If you get and install the SketchUcation PluginStore Toolset [now v3 ExtensionStore] from the PluginStore then that has Managers.
This allows you to disabled selected Extensions AND Plugins.
Disable [red-button] House Builder and restart SketchUp.
You can enable it temporarily [orange-button] when you want to use it.
Or enable it fully [green-button], as you desire...
