Layout 2016 does not work

I just uninstalled Sketchup 2016 and reinstalled it, but below still happens:
When I "send to layout", layout opens, nothing shows on screen, except an obscure "flashing grid" in the upper left corner. It blinks on and off. Have no control over layout and must close it using Task Manager. Windows 8. Everything works fine in SU2015. '
If I open layout by itself, same thing happens.
I turned ZoneAlarm off but no change.
Help!

Have you tried contacting Customer Support at SketchUp?

Did you install SketchUp v2016 as an 'admin' ?
If NOT then you might have several issues...
I suggest you try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it - using 'as admin' in the context-menu when the exe-file is selected [rather than a simple double-click]...
