I am using the paid version of SU 2016. My CAD software can only read up to SU 2015.

Is it possible to set the save version to SU 2015 as a default until my CAD version is updated.

Unfortunately it isn't but it might be possible with a script. One of the kind gurus might be convinced to help in that area.

You can't change the default 'save' version.
          It's hardwired.
Of course you can use the native File > Save_as and specify v2015 from the drop-down list of types, but that requires you to be disciplined in your-saving-for-use-by-others...
Jim Foltz wrote something to 'save as previous version' [for PC]...
I'm not sure it works in v2016, and also it's not much more convenient than the native 'save_as' anyway - although it was 'shortcut-key-able'...

Thanks Dave & TIG. I half expected that it wasn't possible.
