Problem with follow me
-
hi
I recently came into trouble with follow me tool .
in this file you see one profile and one path . I think everything is correct But the result is not good! where I was wrong? In your opinion, where I wrong? -
Make sure the FollowMe face is square to the start of the path...
But... I suspect that it's a 'small geometry' issue.
SketchUp baulks at edges < 1/1000" !
So... try Scaling up x100, do the FollowMe, then Scale down again.ALSO - your faces are 'backwards' - use the context-menu option to reverse those faces - so no 'blue' backsides are seen...
-
thanks TIG
I've tested previously Change scale But in this case does not respond.
Currently backwards are not allergic and problem with follow me priority. Otherwise You're right, and must be Take care of our backwards .You could model correct with this file ?
-
You should place your face outside of the profile...
-
Scale x100, then Then scale back down...
-
I've done it with the original scale.
I think the trick is the position of the face outside of the path... -

I know, but scaling up/down can't hurt -

thanks cotty . you right ...
I think the trick is the position of the face outside of the pathI use Recommended method in instructor . According to me trimble make changes in follow me instructor! As you can see, in instructor face is center of the path !
In any case, thank you for your help.

Basically, if offset fails then FollowMe fails. There is a script here which handles some of these special cases. The script does not deal with loops so you have to join the frame manually with pushpull.

ok !
this scripts is great ! and I understand exactly the meaning of this performance.
Thanks for your help .It was Short and useful .
