      Hi,

Is it possible to reload a component created from a dxf file?

I am using SU Pro 8.

When I right-click on a component imported from dxf file, and select the "reload" option, a file dialog box opens; and, if I select the updated dxf file, a new component is crated. (I expected it to replace the previous component).

Probably the reload option only works with skp components. Am I right?

      Thanks,

I don't know off the top of my head, but I suspect that you are right. Take a look at thomthom's component replacer plugin if you have to replace many instances, or just copy the new geometry into an existing component. Both less than ideal solutions, I know, but workable.

          Look at my

          http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=XrefManager

It's old, it's clunky, it's long overdue an update...
          But it works.
You can insert a DXF as an Xref and then update it later...
