      When doing a fbx export using 'export only current selection' the materials are duplicated for those objects every time you do an export (and sometimes crashes Sketchup). Exporting everything (not using the 'export only current selection' doesn't have this problem.

        I see it too. πŸ˜’
        If you do it with the Materials Browser closed, or close/reopen or even roll-up/down it, then the Material duplicates will vanish.
        So I suspect that the exporter is not 'aborting' its temporary changes to to the model entirely cleaning as it exits.
        Do NOT try to click on, or edit, those duplicated Materials as a BugSplat is likely...
