These tools only works on front-faces... because that's where textured-material ought to be applied.

Applying a material onto a back-face is just bad practice.
    Back-faces should never be visible.
Modeling with reversed faces can lead to many problems when pushpulling, applying cutting components etc, and when the SKP is exported, used in many rendering applications etc, etc...

The native context-menu Texture tool will adjust front/back-face textures, depending on which side of the face you are seeing... use that if you insist on sloppy modeling.

BUT I deliberately discourage the application of materials on back-faces.
So these tools will only ever adjust textured-materials applied onto front-faces.

Use Monochrome mode, with a contrasting back-face default-material in the Style, to check that you are not modeling 'inside out' πŸ˜•
The context-menu items Reverse and Orient are useful to fix reversed faces as you model - shortcut keys is highly recommended. Also use Monochrome as you model to check the correctness of the faces' orientation. Only start applying materials and texturing once the geometry is pretty much resolved... πŸ˜’

yes, i understand, though i guess that's only if you are using a rendering package, if you use SU for render, than back faces are just as good - and of course when you paint both you don't get those pesky flickering edges.

Find the tool in the SCF PluginStore [Resources menu first item], get the RBZ and install it with Preferences > Extensions > Install... button in v2013 or v8...
OR get the SketchUcation Plugin Store toolset [second item in that menu or in the first item - under most popular...] - that lets you AutoInstall Plugins from within SketchUp itself...

You need to ensure you have FULL security permissions to your Plugins folder - there are several post covering that...

But why is any textured material applied to back-faces ?
They should never be seen !

However, I have PM'd you a version to test called TextureTools_BACK ! which works like TextureTools but only on back-faces... It's a separate toolset and toolbar [it has similar icons but with a blue-gray background]

Please test and see it it's what you expected...

Thank you TIG, that works great! πŸ˜„ πŸ‘

basically since often i don't photo-render my drawings, the front-back issue doesn't arise.

should i change my mind later i could always swap and even reverse faces with the su4you materials plugin: http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=S4U_Material

btw TIG, i tried unifying the 2 plugins, but i might as well work out the quantum/relativity problem first....... πŸ€“

if you do join both scripts into one, PM me first please!

Will you ever release a 2016-compatible version of TextureBaker?
