oli is absolutely right. persistence can take you very far.

although there is a lot of nonsense on the internet, looking in the right places can teach you a lot. i learned all i know about sketchup from the forums and blogs and the 2 or 3 books that have been published about it. as for rendering, i was an absolute zero until i started visiting forums like kerkythea's and podium's. i can safely say all i know about rendering came from those forums and from here.

I probably should have followed this up at the time...but the portfolio worked and I was accepted for my post graduate degree. There is a huge amount of work I've done since compiling this portfolio.

I really should have a true online portfolio but never got round to it.
