Urgent help!!!!! Pushpull Problem (SOLVED)

Hi Guys
I have come across this problem in the past and solved it. But can't remember and cant find any solutions online. There are 2 problems which must be linked together.
PROBLEM 1
PROCESS
1.) I draw a square (4 lines and a face)
2.) Use the push/pull tool to form a cubeRESULT
The square (4 line and a face) moves in the direction I use the push/pull tool without forming a cube.So it acts like the move tool.PROBLEM 2
PROCESS
1.) Select the paint bucket toolRESULT
Instead of the paint bucket tool appearing the select paint (eye dropper) appears. -
You're sure your mouse isn't having issues?

I think you may have a stuck alt key on your keyboard.

I would concur with Scott. Both of those behaviors are the things you would expect from those tools when the Alt key is held down.

Like I said this has happened before.
I re-installed nvidia drivers and the problem has solved itself. Like you guys, it felt like a stuck key problem. I do remember now that re-installing graphics driver fixed it last time. How that seems to effect certain tools in SU I have no idea.Thanks so much for your help

what a "doh" moment!
never noticed the pushpull+alt quickly moves faces without extruding them.. this could be handy sometimes.. thank you!
