In version 8, plugins used to go into the program folder, so they were available to everyone. Now, in 2014, it appears that the plugins want to be in each individual user's Appdata\Roaming folder. That makes it a big PITA to install office-wide.
Is there a place I can put the Plugins so that anyone logged in can access them?
I tried Users\Public\Roaming and ProgramData\Sketchup (with the appropriate sub-folders) but neither of those worked.

There is still a Plugins folder in Program Files/SketchUp... You'll have to set permissions for the folder before adding plugins there.

On PCs... if there is a folder named ' Plugins' inside the special subfolder C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014 then that is added to the $: [aka $LOAD_PATH] and then as SketchUp starts its contents [if any] are auto-loaded for ANY user...
However, the AutoInstall tool of SketchUp will always use the User's own 'Roaming' Plugins folder!
BUT using the AutoInstaller in the SketchUcation PluginsStore's dialog [or its Archive Installer menu item] will see that additional folder and prompt you to select the main Plugins folder OR that 'shared-folder' as the installation's destination - thus allowing an AutoInstall into any selected folder...
