      Hi

Apologies if this ain't the right section for this first of all. I' sure I'll be corrected.

I have a generic flat shape that I want to bend in 2 directions (bend tool does not work for this).

Is there a way of doing this other than extruding the flat object onto a 3d curved surface and intersecting faces? I would quite like to keep the thickness of the original shape.

Can't you use the ShapeBender tool twice?
Define two curves to bend along.
Bend the object using one, then take the resultant object and bend that along the second curve ?
