Exporting channels not working in Vray?????????
-
THE VSB CHANNELS DO NOT EXPORT IN VRAY 2.0 (SP1) DEMO... accept RGB & alpha.
Chaosgroup has a 3 day waiting time to respond to problems via email.
I have to send messages to 3rd party forums and hope for a response.... -
sorry I can't help answer any demo questions. But I would suggest you post in the vray sub-section of the forum and maybe someone who knows can help.
Also, by VSB, do you mean VFB (Vray Frame Buffer)?

did u solve the problem? i'm faced with same problem. if solved, please share the solution..
-
It's a limitation of the demo. This is normal.
-
It's not a demo limitation
-
There is a little trick, but don't know is correct to share. If not, please delete this message.
The olders version of v-ray have a file vray_SettingsRenderChannels.dll copy and replace C:\ProgramData\ASGVIS\VfS\vrayplugins
Don't understand why it's not funcionlly in the new version, since it is very useful.
Regards

I'm pretty sure I saw someone from Chaos Group posting that it is a limitation from the demo. Though I can't find this post anymore.
What you're refering to in the release notes is that before this release, there were numerous channels that were not yet supported by VfS. A lot of people were confused because these channels rendered black. So they don't display them anymore, until they're supported.

Yes, your right. The fully licensed Vray has the ability to individually render channels in the VFS. But, the demo version hides this feature and you can only render Diffuse & alpha channels.

The *.pdf is for the release 2.00.24 SP1

HI! I do have the same problem, can you tell me where to find this old version of the vray_SettingsRenderChannels.dll file? Since I don't get an answer from Chaosgroup, I'll have to try the other way to fix it. Thanks
