Sorry, I edited it as I thought it was a typo... you had been beta testing v2.5.2 and the current version is v2.6.0 ?
We haven't even got to v2.6.1 yet ๐Ÿ˜•

There is obviously something wrong with your choose-custom-folder dialog.
It should display a 'Select' button at the bottom [which says, "Choose AutoInstall Folder"].
You simply highlight the destination and click that to carry on..
The last used destination is reused next time too.

      My version shows this... Capture.PNG
So something is clearly adrift... ๐Ÿ˜•

      Initial thought...
Can you pull the bottom edge of the dialog downwards to reveal that button ?
It's size should be remembered across sessions on PC, so perhaps this is all that is needed ?

But if not, and you are confident in using regedit, then you could try deleting this Registry entry, so the next time you use the PluginStore dialog it defaults...
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\WebDialog_SketchUcation-Installer

Let us know it these ideas don't resolve the issue ?

Hello. I have been in forum for a while but have not posted anything, I use SU for my hobbies with not much knowledge in designing so I'm still learning.
I'm quite happy with new feature in sketchucation tools 2.6 but I have similar problems as tommy.jhd.
Sketchup start much slower with sketchucation tools enabled. Delay time is about 5s or more, sometimes, it crashes. Disable sketchucation tools make every things normal.
Although you have explain the cause, could you show me a fix or workaround (not to disable the tools).
          I'm using win 7 32bit sketchup 8 free.
          Thank you,

just upgrade to the last version of the tool as request by the tool itself and SU have started to crash at every launch.
I've removed the plugin loader and folder from the SU plugin folder and the app run smoothly.
            I'm on SUpro8.
            any advice?

            thank's,

I've always manually loaded up plugins, but the SU Tools seemed like a great idea.
It works well, but drags SKUP to a crawl, both loading the application and working - it just freezes for about a minute.
I thought it may be other plugins, so disabled them & restarted - no improvement.
I renamed the !SketchUcation_loader.rb to !SketchUcation_loader.rb! with the other plugins reactivated & all was well again.
The plugins are located at C:\Users*ME*\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins, with the Thea plugin installed at C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins.
Xeon PC with 16Gb RAM, win7 x64 OS.

Can anyone help me with diagnosing the cause?

              Regards,

                  Hi @ all,

I installed SketchUcation Tools 2.6 on a Win 8.1 machine in SU 8, when I start Su 8 the SketchUcation Tools 2.6 is creating the following file:

                  C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\temp\SCF\f_43864.vbs,

and while my firewall asks me if i want to let it access the internet - and I say yes, SuTools is creating the next .vbs with a random number which makes my firwall asking - and so on...
Why is that happening? Can I stop that?

                  thanks, regards,

v2.6.0 sends small data packets to the SCF server etc.
In v2014 it can use Ruby2 methods.
But in v8 it has to make temporary vbs files to do this in your ../Temp/SCF folder.
                    They are automatically erased afterwards.
If you add an 'exception' to your Firewall [or AntiVirus App] 'exceptions' list] it should let them pass unchallenged ?
                    With a wild-card like: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\SCF\*.vbs
I'll also PM you with some other ideas... BUT some VBS files must run to have all of the PluginStore functionality...

It's fair to middling - part of a corporate network.
TIG's given me some homework to test - I'll give it a go at the end of the day.

This a great plugin, especially the manager sections. I was wondering if the My Setup section could be explained in more detail?
I don't seem to be able to download directly from the PluginStore into Sketchup with the plugin (I blame our IT security), but no bother through my browser. I then install through the archive installer. So far, so good.
However, when I look at the My Setup, it doesn't note the Installed plugins. My profile is listed but Bundles has a solitary " (I'm presuming this is paid content).
All of these I'm not fussed about, but is there a way I can manually update the list of installed plugins, so the Updates list can be used?
Thanks again for sharing a great plugin.

                        Regards,

                              Hi,
Finally updated from V8 pro to 2014 pro. Installed extension sketchUcation Tools 2.6, and get a lot of loading errors. Made sure (I think) all the 'rights' on the different directory's are set to 'full'. Still no luck. The toolbar appears but I can not install any plugins. Any thoughts anyone ?

Did you install SketchUp 2014 on a drive other than the SystemDrive ?

It might help if you could open the Ruby Console and type
                                puts $LOAD_PATH
                                Paste the output here.

                                  Dan,

this is the result in the ruby console :

                                  puts $load path
Error; #<SyntaxError; cannot load such file -- rubygems.rb
<main>; syntax error, unexpected tIDENTIFIER, expecting end-of-input
                                  puts $load path
                                                 ^>
                                  SketchUp;1;in `eval'
                                  nil

I suspect now it has something to do with the trialversion of plusspec I had running and is now removed. They needed the rubygems. Perhaps I deleted something I shouldn't have done while removing the pluspec plugin.
The installation was done in the system drive.

I I start SU I get the error codes as I mentioned before. If I continue the toolbar appears. I I then open the ruby console an click on the sketchucation plugin the ruby console says :

                                    puts $load_path

                                    nil

I I try to install a ruby (p.e. comments) the ruby console says :

I think it's because you are using v2014 on a PC AND you open a SKP by double-click to launch SketchUp... AND that SKP is on a drive that is NOT where SketchUp.exe is installed. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

This is a known issue with v2014M0. ๐Ÿ˜’
This confluence of events causes SketchUp to add incorrect paths into $: for the two Ruby Lib folders at startup.
Then any of those Ruby scripts which are called by a ' require' can't be found.

It is expected to be fixed in the coming update v2014M1...

Because of this path-mess, some Plugins will not work if they use the new Ruby features available with Ruby2 which is shipped with v2014 - so in v2014 when the SCF PluginStore tries to use open-uri to ping data and download RBZ's etc it will fail...

                                      Meanwhile, there is a fix = http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=519331#p519331
Download and place this .rb file into the v2014 Tools folder - typically it's
                                      C:\Program Files (x86)\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\Tools
Then the $: will be reset as SketchUp starts, so that it always include the correct Ruby Lib paths [at least for non-Asian users]... ๐Ÿค“

Thanks TIG, you'r a miracle worker (as usual). ๐Ÿ‘
Works like a charm now. Many thanks. Did not read that earlier post because I wasn't on 2014 so it did not matter. Had better done a search. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

And, if you re-read what I said, .. I said to type:
                                          puts $LOAD_PATH
(... notice how the global variable name is in ALL CAPS ?)

You can also (as TIG mentioned,) type
                                          puts $:
(because $: is an alias for $LOAD_PATH.)

When things are good, the output will look like (except the username will differ,):

                                          puts $;
                                          C;/Program Files (x86)/SketchUp/SketchUp 2014/Tools/RubyStdLib
                                          C;/Program Files (x86)/SketchUp/SketchUp 2014/Tools/RubyStdLib/platform_specific
                                          C;/Program Files (x86)/SketchUp/SketchUp 2014/Tools
                                          C;/Users/Dan/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2014/SketchUp/Plugins
                                          C;/Users/Dan
                                          nil

                                          I'm not here much anymore.
