    GEO Location grab of map not satellite?

      Is it possible to to geo grab the map instead of the satellite the image? You can switch in the preview screen but switches back to satellite once you "grab" it. Or just screen shot google maps and bring it in as an image and scale accordingly?

      Trying to do some urban planning mass modeling. Looks like it would be easier using the map. I don't like the casted shadows from the satellite imagery.

        If you're just going to grab the image and don't want the data, why not use your local/region council's GIS it's (usually) much more upto date than google's. Shadows are usually less of an issue too.

            Ooh well done. Did you save the map image from google maps and then scale to fit the "grab" satellite image?

              There will be an up-coming plugin to do this (import one or several maps from different providers).
