      I'm still using twilight.

Rumor has it that TWR will also get a proxy system in v2... πŸ˜‰

In the mean time, you can use KT as studio and place your Poser models in KT...
Kt is able to import OBJ and 3DS directly... πŸ˜‰

What can I do to preserve the texture and texture cordinates and to reduce the mesh?

Like I wrote previously, I use Simlab Composer...
I can import various 3D formats and to export an equal variety of different 3D formats, including SKP...

Although I haven't tested it with a Daz3D and/or Poser model, Artisan has a PolyReducer tool...
Whaat have also made the Polyreducer 0.1 plugin, but I really don't know how it work with such complex models...

Which programm is able to do that?

If you're looking for external programs, Blender has a very good poly reducer tool...

      Cheers

good news. Can't wait for the update.

Blender... well... hmmm... I started 7 years ago to understand blender but refused everytime. may be I have to try it one more time.

I think I have to reduce the polys before importing it to SU

          I've had success this time.

I've exported a V4 via Poser to OBJ an imported it to SU. Reducing the mesh with meshlab outside SU wasn't possible. The file has 35 MB and took over an hour to import. Unfortunately all textures were lost and I had to retexture the whole body.

I've embeded to my scene, which has also about 50 MB. Unfotunately that was to much fΓΌr twilight and kerkythea, the xml has over 100 MB and couldn't be loaded to the Application.

So I gave up, hoping for a better capacity of future SU- Version and hoping for the new twilght version.

I haven't tested these models with TWR, however, like I wrote previously, you can import an OBJ file direct to KT and then merge it together with your SU scene...
Really can't see what the issue is... πŸ˜•

As you already had the nudity warning and I was bored this morning I knocked up a bit of a sculpture to help soften the lines in your bathroom.

Thanks Frederik, I rather enjoy playing with Vertex tools.

Anybody ever tried creating a 3D model (car, room fixtures, etc) in SU and export it to DAZ? If yes, how?

                        That's easy...
Export to i.e. OBJ and use the import function in Daz3D... πŸ˜„

                        Cheers

If I had known it was that easy, I would have persevered with my copy of DAZ years ago.
I found it a bit too steep on the learning curve, so I put it away.
Stayed with my tried and true Disney(esque) cell by cell animation.
All XXX rated of course. πŸ˜†

not DAZ but I've done it with poser.

It worked well, but I've had to find good materials for the rendering that wasn't easy because I'm not so experienced with the Material Tab in poser
