Board streaching
-
Hi, Jeff:
Considering the amount of use and abuse your structures experience, how often are you called out to do repairs? Do you use a special grade of plywood? I realize the skate truck wheels are soft, but all of that dynamic stress must be significant? -
Pilou, a chalkline is a string in a box full of chalk--commonly blue-- that is used for snapping a line. If the line is hooked on the side of the board as in Jeff's drawing, it is difficult to keep the hook from sliding inless someone holds it or you put a nail in the edge of the board.

how to chalk this line (red) on a piece of 4x8 by yourself
With a chalk
There is not an infinity number of possibilities ?
What is unity of 4x8 - meters ?
So take another piece of 4x8 as rule ? -
-
Is that Kito Raup's pencil?
-
So like this with the chalkline?
-
That could work. Or you could tap a nail into the edge of the board maybe. It depends upon what you need to do.
-
The tip that Jeff is referring to is to simply make a knife cut in the edge of the board to trap the string and hold it in place on the angle.
-
Yeah. I figured maybe Pilou would actually watch it.

Don't know if they have a model with Chalkline?
