      Hi friends,
I have did a line art for a gate design. now i want to render it.
As it it complex in design i don't want to use "Follow Me" or "Extrude along path" tools.
Is there any other way, so that i can render the edges?

        Nope, you need geometry.
Vray has VrayEdgesTex built in, but it has not been made available on Sketchup yet. It's a shame, 'cause it would be darn usefull!

          thanx jiminy.
follow me and extrude along edge takes lot of time.
Also when two or more edges come at a point its difficult or tedious to make a geometry.
Do u know any plugin for it?

It's hard to say without seeing your drawing but you might find Tig's Extrude Edges by Vector will give you something to work with. You can select all the edges and pull them forward just a bit which should give you renderable geometry.

              hi
m attaching the line drawing (not much complex). It is on temple's gate.
I want to extrude 3 mm circle on this. I can do it in small small parts. but the joints r not matching.
              Any help?

There are several plugins that will convert edges. One would be Didier Bur's Lines2Tubes.
                http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=88592#p88592
Another would be Pipe along Path.

3mm is very small, scale up before you try to do it and back down again when done, otherwise the faces may not form.

in Vray there is a type of material called 'toon' it allows you to render lines.

It's not too complex. I would use TIG's tools or Pipe Along Path. 1001 bit Pro and Profile Builder can do this also.
