I see there is a way to record who the author of components is. Where do you set up that information?

Do you mean this?

If I create a component or add one from a library, when I click on the Claim Credits button, it just enters anonymous and there is not opportunity for me to ever enter my name (or some other entity - like the company) as the author.

Are you running SketchUp as an administrator ?

You might also try to sign in, or check how you are signed in. Down at the bottom left there is a "G" icon I think. Make sure you are logged in on the account you want to be logged in with. Look into that, see if it helps? Also, what country are you in?

If I am not logged-in, then I can still click the 'author' button...
BUT then a login dialog opens ... so I don't expect that is his issue ?? -

I'm a total newb when it comes to all this authentication stuff. So to me it looks like you've signed into the 3dwarehouse using your verizon email account, and that credits window is trying to get the user name from your email account, but since its not a gmail account, its not finding a useful username.

Have you already created a 3D Warehouse account at all?
