Eraser Tool, Crtl-Shift does not unsoften edge
-
It used to, but recently it just erases the edge. Thoughts?

It still works.
That is Erase+Ctrl to smooth, & Erase+Ctrl+Shift to undo the smooth.
Perhaps you will find that as well as being softened/smoothed these 'problem edges' are also 'hidden' [Hide = Erase+Shift].
They have a slightly different line stipple-style in View > Hidden Geometry ON.
To check an edge's status switch View > Hidden Geometry ON and Select one of these 'problem edges'.
'Entity Info' will then show its smooth/soft/hidden status in check-boxes at the bottom of the dialog.
Untick a check-box a status to reset it.
You can select all edges in one go and use the context-menu 'Unhide' to do a reset too.
Unfortunately, unlike 'Smooth/Unsmooth', there is no equivalent key-combo when using Erase to 'Unhide' things... -
Yup, that's how used to work until recently. Now Erase+Ctrl+Shift erases the edge instead of undoing the smooth. I've tried different keyboards, rebooted, tried it on multiple files...

So, something is wrong with your SketchUp installation, or your Keyboard or its key-mapping !
UsingErase+Ctrl+Shift
works fine for me in unsmooth/unsoftening edges.
I have the latest v2103 [although that should not matter as it has always worked faultlessly]Have you considered doing a 'Repair' or failing that fixing things a 'Reinstall' ?
