Is it a bug?
-
Good Day All,
I have been using Sketchup for years but I sorta dont question much about the possible bugs and all. I had a question the other day from someone who basically asked why does the sketchup visual go into "the MRI mode" when we are rotating in a view...
I thought it was a bug that had been embedded and since SU was not really updated for long time.. I never really probed about it.
Just wondering if any of you share this problem and if you had any solutions to the effect.
I understand that the problem could be due to parallel projects, but the mode i was on is actually perspective.. I thought it would be fine.. but yea.. weirdly enough the view started to warp and all..
Cheers.

Hope I am not bugging you guys too much
But I have an additional question as well.
I normally don do photo-realistic renders.. Rather I do overlays of sketchup images to create mood - styled pictorials..
I was some an avid green screen fan, so I thought I had applied that logic to my exports by having the ground as a lime green colour.. For easier crop etc..etc...
However, I was using the free SU 2013 and exporting a JPG only to realise the shadow had hints of green on them..
Any idea if that was a bug or just the setting I am exporting?
Cheers.

To answer your first questions; no, it's not a bug. It's a memory saving feature. the more powerful your system, the less it will use it. It's the software dealing with lots of components and geometry in a more efficient manner.
as for the color renderings with color bleeding into the shadow, not really my field. Someone else will have to answer that.

Why not export a transparent .png instead?

@Rich i feel really stupid right now... should have corrected the boss and said transparent PNG haha...being asian sucks at times.. makes me forget to think... and just do >___<~
@Jimny yes sir thats the problem.. Actually when @Kris mentioned it might be down to computer performance I am pretty surprise. I am running a decent quad core machine, 8gb ram and 1gb dedicated gfx card.. and the file is a small curvy 3 story club house.. i am really sad if my machine cant handle the gfx...

No, I was talking about something different than the clipping bug. There are steps to take to keep the clipping bug at bay. Search the forum for the clipping bug.
