Animation with Clock/timecode?

Hi there,
I've been asked to create a SketchUp animation for a shadow study.
I can get a normal animation to work from 9am to 5pm as an overhead view. Everything is okay there.
My question is though, what kind of software can I use to overlay a clock over the top of the animation indicating the current time? Is it possible?

It might be possible to create plugin that updates a text with the time. Not 100% sure if it will appear when exported though but if you have video screen capture software like "Fraps" it will.

Years ago there was such a tool by TBD [AddTime?] which seems to be no longer available.
I have a modified version of it that I use personally.
But because of possible copyright issues it's not publicly available...
