Lines I cant delete
-
Hi, first post here so yeah this is whats up:
In the image below you can see some lines parallel to my red ones, now I had a square drawn between them, from the back of the extruding lower parts to the front where my lines end. just an empty square but for some reason those couple of lines got drawn inside my square and I couldn't select it as a whole, it was cut along these lines.
I can't select them, I can't erase them even when I redraw the square.
The only way they disappear is when I delete some of the nearby geometry of the parts you can still see but even when I then redraw it they come back. Can't figure this out
Posting this here because I'm not sure if it's a noob thing or a bug.
I'm not really new to sketchup but I'm certainly no pro, just use it occasionally, never seen this though.Woodworking/millimeter template on a windows 7, if that might be relevant.

Could you post the SKP file? It would be easier to see what's going on and help you solve the problem.

I have this problem quite often (lines that won't delete). Just save, close and restart SU. If it is the same "bug" as I have, you should be able to delete them after that.

Are the 'lines' really there ?
Do you ever get to select them for deletion, or do they appear and vanish at will ?
If they are not 'real', then is it then a graphics-card issue ??
What is your GC?
Does it have the latest drivers loaded?
What are your Preferences > OpenGL settings?
Have you try adjusting these and retesting to see if that resolves this issue ? -

The lines were really there, but when you select and delete them they become blue (selection) and won't delete. They stay blue, impossible to "unselect" nor do any other action. It is as if the don't exist anymore, but are still visible.
I had the thing with my old "standard" video card as well as with my new HD7870 Joker card... It hasn't happened since SketchUp 2013 though.
