      Can anyone show me how to make this group solid? I extruded a profile using the Follow Me tool. The FM tool doesn't seem to like turning sharp corners and often leaves lots of extraneous stuff to clean up.

      The attached model is the result of a couple hours of cleanup and many iterations with the Cleanup and SolidSolver plugins--and it still won't go solid. I've even deleted each face to make sure none were co-planar.

      I have a lot of these arched windows to do and find myself spending way too much time down the rabbit-hold chasing the elusive solid.

        There was an internal face that needed to be removed. Take a look at the solid inspector plugin.
        Just to clarify, here's a screenshot of troublesome face.

          Thomthom's 'Solid Inspector' will highlight problem areas in your 'non-solid'.
          You'll then need to correct these manually - like deleting any internal 'partition' faces.
          Using a section-plane cut is a good way to get access to the inside to remove those...
          There are other potential issues so please read below...

          My 'SolidSolver' will attempt to correct issues that are causing 'non-solidity', BUT because there are so many permutations of 'wrongness' it isn't always successful...

          To reiterate...

          A 'solid' is a group or component that is a 'manifold object'.
          If you select it then 'Entity Info' will say it is a 'solid' in its top bar: if it does not include the word 'solid' then it is not manifold.
          A manifold object contains only geometry [although guides and points are also allowed because they never interact with geometry].
          So that means NO nested groups/components/images, text, dimensions etc...
          The object's geometry must consist of Faces and Edges that meet strict criteria.

          EVERY Edge MUST have just TWO faces.

          No fewer Faces - so there can be NO 'unfaced' [aka lonely] Edges, and NO 'holes' [no matter how tiny], or 'flaps', or 'shelves' etc - where at least one Edge would be used by just one Face.

          No more Faces - so there can be NO internal 'partitions' where some Edges can be used by three [or more] Faces, and NO otherwise solid volumes meeting along a shared Edge - e.g. two cubes sharing an Edge where that Edge then has four Faces !
