When we draw two connected lines and move one of them, the another line will be moved togather by SU. To ensure moving only one line, i add group for every line.
Now the question is that when i select the line, the box of line group will be shown. How can we hide the box? It is very good if i can set the group properties to hide box during creating group for line.

      thanks for your reply.

So you're asking to make the bounding box invisible? The only way it won't show is to not select it. Well, I suppose you could set the bounding box color to match the background but that doesn't seem very useful.

If you are making groups of each line, how do you get faces?

It seems a very odd way to use SU, It sounds like you are thinking of it as a 2d drawing tool, like drawing in word or corel etc
As dave points out, a grouped line isn't a face and the major idea behind SU is the manipulation of faces in a 3D world. Perhaps it would be more useful for you to work in a 2d vector based drawing program and only bring your work into SU when you need to add a third dimension.

No, if i draw the line from point(0,0,0) to (x, 0 ,0), and add group to it, the bounding box wont show. I can draw a line from (0,0,0) and transform to the location which the user wants to draw and it can address my requirement. But it is too complex.

              qiucx,
Let me approach your problem from a different angle.
First of all, bounding boxes will be always visible, even for a group of lines that are on the same axis. In that case, bounding box is linear so it doesn't appear to be a box but it still is a box.

That's when I use copy (m + ctrl) and delete, instead of move command.
You duplicate a line that is connected to another, and place it wherever you desire, then go back to the original and erase it forever from the surface of the earth (or your model).
Don't have enough info about what kind of drawing/model you are working on so I might be missing a point.

Yes! The bounding box does show. It's just that the bounding box, which is always aligned with the model axes fits the line tightly so it doesn't appear to be a box. When the line is drawn at some angle to the model axes, the bounding box, which, again, is aligned to the model axes is larger so the line will fit inside.

I'm with Box on this. This is a very odd way to use a surface modeler. If all you are using is edges and you don't want faces, you should be using a different program. If you are going to continue using SketchUp this way, you have three options to deal with the bounding boxes. Either draw every line parallel to a model axis and then rotate it into position, make components instead of groups so you can change the component axis alignment after creating the component, or change the model axis alignment to match the drawn line before making the group.

Use the axis tool to localize ea line before making ea group
(to fix - explode -make axes along the line - make group - repeate for ea line)
                    Boxes should be gone.
