I wish that there's a plugin or script that can create basic shape primitives in SU. Which you could specify the dimensions, number of segments and other parametric values. More like the standard primitives tool which 3dmax is having. πŸ˜„ πŸŽ‰
I am aware that there's already available plugins for creating basic shape, though i wish that there is tool that can create parametric primitives (that we could input no. of segments fr:
    -Plane
    -Box
    -sphere
    -torus knot
    -Cylinder
    -Dome
    -etc

I hope that's not too much for me to ask! haha

    Thanks - Sketchucation!

      Look at
      http://extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/shapes
which makes most primitive shapes and uses 'parametric.rb' to allow you to edit them later.
It doesn't include rectangle-plane or sphere, but it's a simple coding tweak to add those...
The first would be a box without any height and the second two domes - one 'up' & one 'down'...

And not to forget the most important primitive - the teapot: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=205874#p205874

As i had mentioned in my post, i'm aware about these great plugin already (shape.rb).
But we can't specify the no. of segments inside the shape. These could be very helpful.
(for example - i need a box with 3x3 segments which we could modify and create something later on, in this case a rubiks cube maybe or something like that. - I know.. Lazyme! But could be helpful though.
By the way- i am a fan of your works Thomthom! Esp. your teapot primitive! Thanks

Adjusting the sub-divisions of the primitive - after it's been created? Like the teapot?
              That's something I've wanted for a while.

But it won't remain parametric if you modify it with some other tool though.

Exactly thomthom.. Sub-division is the right term! πŸ˜„
which we can modify parametrically without using other tools.
These will work well with other organic modelling tools like artisan.. 😍 😍
