Vray for Sketchup Materials
-
Hi, i have a question for anyone who can help. In my sketchup file, everytime I load a new material onto vray material editor, it renders completely black and without texture. Even when I adjust the color manually under the diffuse section, the materials have no texture. If anyone knows why this is happening, please help me out. Thanks in advance

Is the texture a JPEG? I had this problem with a BMP file once.

The textures are in vismat form..were you able to fix your problem?

you are a bit confused, the materials are in vismat form, but if you click the "m" button in your diffuse slot you will get the texture valero is mentioning.. and there you can browse for the proper image (so probably a .jpeg or .png) to load so if you are not aware of this you don't load any image and vray renders it totally black. i think 90% this is your case. so once you load your vismat you have probably to link again the proper textures, bump map etc in each "m" slot you need.. chaces are you can find them in the very same folder which contains the vismat.
sorry for my bad english, but i hope this can be useful to you. -
Thank you so much panixia. COuld you please tell me how to browse for the images? i clicked on the m in the diffuse section but there is no option to browse or add a jpeg image..Once again, thank you, and by the way, your english is pretty good

you should select text bitmap and then you can add the proper link to your file.
