Sketchup file crashes
-
Sorry guys if this is the wrong section, but I don't know where else to search for help anymore and I am desperate. The file attached was created in SU8 and I'm also using vray (I don't know is that relevant. Anyway, everything was working fine for 3 days and than in the middle of rendering, and same minor modeling corrections, the file (and the pc) started crashing. I've tried everything. If u could check it out and post your opinions you would help me a lot. thanks
I'm working on winxp

When it opens for me it reports there are errors and 'do I want to fix them'.
After answering yes, it fixes all problems and it is OK thereafter...
I don't know what the issues were...Open SketchUp and set your Preferences > General to automatically check SKPs on opening [as I have] and even the additional option to auto-fix problems... Then a crash like you have experienced can be sidestepped when opening a problem SKP...
You do have some reversed faces in the curved surface - easily reversed if hidden-geometry is set ON...
I've moved this into the general section - it's not a 'bug'...

for a while (5-6 min) that seemed to have resolved the the problem, than it crashed again ;(
So no solution yet, thanks anyway for trying -
Having fixed it try Model Info > Statistics > 'Purge unused...'
As well as the 'Fix problems...' button...
What are you doing when it 'crashes'?
What is the manifestation of this 'crash' ?
