You need to install also this one:
      http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=144178#p144178
Unzip the folders and put the content in SU's plugins folder. Read the Fredo's posts and be sure to observe the footprints.
Or, easier, use this fantastic new tool:

There is no "ROUND CORNER LIBFREDO plugin" as you say. There is a "round corner" plugin and a "libfredo" which is nedeed to use that plugin. So you have to download and install both.

I bet you still haven't gone back to the thread where you got Libfredo6 and read it. This has been covered repeatedly.

Set all of the permissions for you in the Plugins folder to Allow. then try reopening SketchUp.

Just so you know, here's what you do. There is a "Plugins" menu item under "Resources" at the top of this page. Choose that and it takes you to a page that lists many plugins. Use the "find" function on your browser to search that page. Type in "round" and it will eventually show the link you want (third result).

                        Billy

You seem to be misunderstanding how plugins work - downloading, extracting, installing and then using them...

                        First of all - permissions.
To be able to add files to your Sketchup Plugins folder you need to have its security-permissions set to 'FULL'.
By default Windows limits it to read-only [i.e. no 'write'] because the folder is inside the 'Program Files' folder.
To fix this select the Plugins folder icon, right-click > context-menu > Properties > Security > Edit...
                        Give everyone listed FULL permission.
                        OK to apply/save changes.
You will need admin-rights to be able to do this...
So now you can add things to the Plugins folder.

Plugins come in several forms - single .rb/.rbs files and for more complex files archives containing typically a.rb loader file and a subfolder of 'helper' files helper files - these are ZIP/RBZ archives. When extracted they need to go into the Plugins folder in the same relationship as they have in the archive - i.e. all files must stay inside their subfolder [if any] when added to the Plugins folder.
Some tools require you to have also downloaded and installed a folder of 'helper' files - usually called a 'Lib'[rary] - Fredo and Thomthom do this the most. A few other tools also need a helper, obtained from an external url - like 'progressbar.rb' from Smustard.com... These 'dependencies' are clearly explained in each tool's page.

Now for the good news... SketchUcation have recently launched a 'Plugins Store' that includes most of the Plugins that are available on the forum - to use it within SketchUp [v8M2] you'll need to download and install it from an RBZ archive - but that is clearly explained on its page... Once installed the tool allows you to search through hundreds of available Plugins, by keyword/category/author, it includes descriptions/links-off the more info... etc AND best of all it has an Auto-Install button... So provided that you have sorted out your Plugins folder's permissions to FULL, it will download/install/load the chosen Plugin[s] for you... See this page http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=467479#p467479

                          skytrooper,

The link I posted is the place you need to go to. You read the first post and download from there (it is always the latest version). The post may have additional plugins that are required or may have links where to download those. TIG has explained the rest above.

                              Billy,

There's is a Plugins folder under Google/Google SketchUp 8 (the SketchUp folder) which you must also have if you have SketchUp installed and running.

It sounds like you need someone to help you out with this personally to get this straightened out. If you want that, send me a PM.

There is a PM icon below each poster's avatar/details.

If you do not understand the most basic functions of your PC then we have an uphill struggle πŸ˜•
Do you understand how to use 'Windows Explorer' to open a window, which will show you the contents of the folder ?
Then if you double-click on a subfolder's icon, then that opens and so on until you have opened the folder you want... Double-clicking a file icon opens the file in it's designated application if any.

                                  You are looking for:
                                  C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 8\Plugins
The folder will exists if you have let SketchUp install itself in the default manner - if you did a custom-install its folder could be anywhere, but the Plugins folder will still be automatically created in that folder-tree.
The 'Programs Files' folder name might be named slightly differently [+ (x86)] if you have a 64bit OS...

You do not 'run' anything πŸ˜’

Hi TIG. I reckon I have the c:\program files (x86)\google\google sketchup 8\plugins the reason I think so is that the B1 free Archiver reads at the top c:\program files(x86)\google\google sketchup 8\plugins. I didn't know that I had this. and would you know what is causing this error . I just tryed to install the LibFredo6 to SketchUp and got this message SketchUp was unable to install the Extension you have chosen for unknown reason
Consult your Extension's documentation for additional help
I dont have a Extension's documentation or I dont understand what they mean will you help me
                                    Thank you

SO you can find your Plugins folder πŸ˜„

Next... that error-message suggests you have insufficient security-permissions to add files to your Plugins folder. 😞

By default Windows limits security-permissions to folders within the 'Program Files' folder to be 'read-only'.
You need to have 'FULL' [read/write] security-permissions to the Plugins folder to be able to add files into it.
So... to fix the folder's settings you need 'admin-rights' - it's a good idea to give yourself admin-rights in the Users Control Panel...
                                      Now highlight the Plugins folder's icon: right-click > context-menu > Properties > Security > Edit.
                                      Give everyone listed FULL rights.
OK to apply and save changes...
From now on you should be able to install plugins manually... OR by using the much easier v8 'installer' features available when plugins come packaged in RBZ archive format... πŸ˜„

In passing... can I suggest you also 'fix' the permissions for the SketchUp Components, Materials and Styles subfolders, because from time to time you will want to add files into those too... πŸ˜•
