Help with Search

Is it me or does the Search function in the Plugins Index not do anything but teasingly tell you it found one, but you're on your own to find out where it actually found it? I've tried Search and Search This Topic. It finds something each time but I'll be darned if I can find out where. Scrolling down the whole page shows nothing highlighted.

The current plugin index is actually a single post. If you enter the post, use your browser's built in search function (Ctrl+F) to search for a particular plugin.
-
What plugin are you looking for?
-
I found the one I was looking for by using my browsers search feature but why have the search buttons there if they do nothing? I was hoping it would be a search feature to find plugins relating to a particular function.

The SCF forum's built-in Search tool is limited to 4 characters - otherwise you'd potentially get zillions of hits.
The about-to-be-lauched 'SCF Plugins Store' tool [keep you eyes peeled for its release !] allows you to search by author/category and a also has 'general search' tool that will allow as few as three characters... so that will hopefully alleviate your worries... -
Oh good, thank you. Sounds like it will be helpful to new people to the site, like myself.
-
You know, it would be nice to know which plugin you were looking for so we could check to see why you couldn't find it with the forum search tool.
-
Is it just me or has anyone experienced strange graphics on plugins page?
-
I was looking for Triangulate Faces but doesn't matter, the search function does the same with anything entered. I had put in triangulate as the term.
-
Walt, yes there have been a few graphic issue with it lately, but I believe they are due to the development of the new plugin plugin, so they will eventually go away.
