      ThomThom,

Thx but went thu all of the options and none worked. I'm a rank beginner regarding installing stuff and extensions. Perhaps need something easier.

      Also using Mac OS 10.8.2
      SketchUp 8.0.15157

Didn't try your simple loader, believe that's Windows only?

No - it works both. Unless it explicitly says otherwise you can assume plugins work on both Windows and OSX.

Install the Simple Plugin Installer. It's an RBZ file which you install by using the "Install Extension" feature under Preferences > Extensions.

You can then use it to install the ZIP packages which Fredo's plugins comes as.
(Or rename Fredo's ZIP files to RBZ files and install them directly using the "Install Extension" button under Preferences > Extensions.

(Out of curiosity, why did you assume the Simple Installer was Windows only?)

The flightpath rb at the Depot at crai is RickW's and should work fine and doesn't include any 'linetool' calls - it appears to be just the same as the Smustard.com one.
The flightpathtool rb at the Depot at crai has been [clumsily] modified...It says

...modified by Matt Gorbet, using tons of code by RickW
          ...
          require 'sketchup.rb'
          require 'linetool.rb'
          ...

So that's why linetool is getting called when you run that version because he changed it to use that tool ! But note that NEITHER tool is perfect either.

Perhaps Didier should consider removing one or both ?

I was (again) looking at this tool since i wanted to make a walkthrough animation of my model.
But flightpath only makes a lot of scenes without any respect of my camera values like angle of view.
Flightpath (free version) only asked for start and endpoint, units per time and then changes into nothing more the a measuring device. I get a line fixed at the start point and then nothing only the distance in the right lower corner changes.

Is there somebody who can fix or make a better rubby ?

          Best regards,

Have you read and understood the issues surrounding ' flightpath' and its clones.
Some versions work and some have severe problems.
            All have a few issues...
I suggest you return to the author's original at Smustard.com
There is a simple 'free' or an inexpensive 'paid' version...

              Dear TIG,

I did download the script (flightpath) from Smustard. I have read that there are issues.

Why would I pay, even a small amount, for something I can't test or like you said and what is written under "issues surrounding flightpath" ?

That is why I asked if there is somebody who can fix these problems and make a good one. Which I would be happy to pay for if it does what it promises : following a line, focus point or line, FOV, etc.

Walking through your models would be a very very nice option.

              Best regards,

                As far as I know ' flightpath2' from Smustard.com is the best, and it's only $7 !
It offers many more features than the older ' flightpath'
Rick Wilson its author is available via Smustard and would field any issues/questions you might have... if anyone can 'fix' things or simply advise it's him.

                    Good Day to You All,

First, let me say that I am a big fan of Sketchup and an even bigger fan of some of the writers of my favorite ruby scripts that I see here all the time.

Second, let me say that if I am posting this question in the wrong place, I apologize and please send me a message so that I can post it correctly.

I have designed several small woodwork projects using Sketchup, with lots of happy results. I am currently designing a piece of furniture with curves in it. My problem is as follows: I have created a bezier curve on one side of the project and need to copy and flip the curve to the other side, so they are symmetrical. I cant seem to find a "mirror" or "flip bezier curve" script. Does one exist or can anyone suggest a way to do this?

I have attached a picture of what I mean and hope someone can help. This is my first time posting in one of these forums, so if I have posted in the wrong place or didn't follow a specific protocol, I apologize.

I look forward to hearing from someone. Many Thanks in advance.

curve on the right, copy and flip to match same position on left making the curves symmetrical.

There is my Mirror tool [a SCF Plugins Index Search should find it]...
You will find that the Curve's 'Bezier-ness' will be kept after the Mirror [but include any cpoints in the Mirror if you expect to Edit the Bezier copy later on].

Alternatively here is how to do it manually...
Select the Curve, use the Move Tool + Ctrl to copy it off to one side.
Select the Curve, use the Scale Tool, dragging a green side-handle, type in -1 + <return>.
The Curve will 'Mirror' about that axis.
Select the Curve and Move it to where you want it to be...

It's been some time since this list was updated. Has it fallen of of favor because of SU 2013? I hope not... I usually wait 6-12 months before changing to a major version release and so the plug-in index is still very much appreciated.

There have been relatively few updates as a direct result of v2013.
The PluginStore accessed off the Resources menu includes all major 'SCF-hosted' plugins [>600] and it is kept up to date on a daily basis...
You can search the listings, by keyword[s]/recent/popular/category/author etc...
The 'missing' plugins are some minor 'code snippets', a few plugins known to cause clashing and other issues, and some plugins that are hosted solely on other sites, and are therefore not directly download-able or auto-installable using SCF's tools... w
We do seek the agreement of these scripts' authors to include them in the PluginStore, but it is not always forthcoming, and keeping on top of 'remotely stored' updated files then becomes an issue too...
If you do find any scripts that are hosted at SCF but that you thing are missing from the PluginStore itself then please let an admin/mod know [PM?] and we'll check - a few might 'slip through the net'...

Is there a simple-uninstaller plugin that will erase plugins... just the opposite of the simple installer?

This is because there are plugins I've downloaded to try'em but I'm really not using.

                                Thanks.

If the Plugin is a newer Extension that has been installed from the Trimble SketchUp 'Extensions Warehouse' then v2013 does have an 'uninstall' option in its EW dialog.

However, other Plugins do not have this functionality.

If you have installed the 'SketchUcation PluginStore Toolset' then you can Manage all Extensions and also your vanilla Plugins...
This toolset can 'disable' any Plugins files [found in any Plugins folder that you are using].
A disabled Plugin's suffix is changed from .rb[s] to .rb[s]! so it no longer auto-loads when SketchUp starts, but it is still recognized by the toolset as a file capable of being temporarily loaded for that session or re-enabled so it again auto-loads...
So you could use that to disable any Plugins you no longer want to have loading as SketchUp starts.
BUT if you no longer want them to be installed at all, then open your Plugins folder, sort the files 'by type', and select and manually delete any disabled .rb[s]! files. Note that more complex tools may often have a related subfolder with them containing support files, images for buttons and so on... if the author has been sensible and named the folder to match the plugin you should be able to remove that subfolder too - however, be careful - remember that leaving it in place will do no harm and is the safer option...
