Jean Prouvé - Antony chair - 1950

Some render just testing a new model. Modeled and textured with Sketchup. Rendered with Thea.

mmm lovely! nice veneers
loving the first image. The black metal has a gorgeous specular, almost slightly greasy from someone's hands.

Thanks Oli.

You can't just take pictures of something and tell us it's a model...

Thanks for the kind words Kristoff.

Not the kind of chair I would buy, but very nice work

Thanks Steve.

Looks good Massimo i especially liked the way you got the edge of the wood to map correctly. Any clues in how you did this ?

I've used this one. Even if Fredo said that is not a texturing tool, don't believe him.
On the contrary it's really a great one. For the edge of the wood you have to choose the "quad mesh UV" option. Model and add textures at a bigger size (e.g. x100) and then shrink the model at the end. I've found that the tool works better that way. -

Thank you very much Alvis.
