I offer Nels Cline. I have no shame in saying he is one of my heroes. I know him as prog jazz player and composer extraordinaire, but he plays around. Here with Wilco.

Instructions on embedding: copy the default embed link which comes up when you click 'share.' paste it inside, adjusting as needed (add www; correct youtube):
EXAMPLE: embed link:
http://youtu.be/z79pgPn357g

corrected for SU, without required end brackets:
flash=560,360]http://www.youtube.com/z79pgPn357g [/flash
add facing brackets begin [ and end ]

EDIT- and when i say 'copy/paste youtube link', i mean the one in the address bar of your browser.. no need to go to the share options.. works with other video sites as well (vimeo etc)

Uh, thanks, Jeff. That's what I was looking for. This little thread has gotten me muckin' around youtube music like never before, and I'm trying to keep it more generally palatable, but for me this one is really just something I stumbled on:

Mercyful Fate is a Danish heavy metal band from Copenhagen, Metallica made their bread and butter doing covers of those that inspired them. This is one of my favorites. Curse of the Pharaohs.

However you choose to do it, please keep posting more videos to this topic. Now that I have discovered it, the first thing I do when I visit scf is open this topic in a separate browser tab so I can listen to the clips while browsing the rest of the site in another tab.

It's like scf has its own music channel.

That is interesting: my failed link was the same as yours that worked, as you can see if you 'quote' to reply. And I am on a different machine. My proxy server?
