View > Hidden Geometry 'on' will let you see them.
Why are they hidden?
If they are really not required they could be deleted, or put them onto another layer that is switched off ?? -
Hi Tig
i have the same problem. i have them hidden because its a door and has some options like modern or panels so i have to keep 1 hidden and other shows. is there a way to export just the visible blocks?
-
What format are you exporting in ?
The exporters often have an option to exclude hidden/off geometry.
And my OBJexporter on ever exports visible objects ?? -
i am exporting for artlantis with artlantis plugin
the only options are layers and selected. -
Then you could rather put those hidden elements on a layer that you do not export (i.e. hide the layer itself rather than geometry).
This is really not a bug - especially a SketchUp bug (therefore I am even moving it out of the bugs subforum) - but the functionality / limitation of a certain exporter plugin. If layer visibility helps solving the issue, the workaround is there. If not, you should contact the plugin developers.

i never said that is a bug. i cant put them on different layouts since i had glass doors and panel doors. I am using a dynamic block of a door with both options. i posted here because topic was hidden object becomes visible in artlantis. so i thought that there can be a better option.

No one claimed you said it is a bug. Gai just stated he was moving the thread out of the Bugs forum where the OP had put it.

Indeed, I saw it's an age-old topic and just realized we forgot to move it when it was first posted.
So back to the problem: if these dynamic components conflict with the exporter plugin, I'd still consider two options (well, at least in case hidden layers DO work):
- Either modify the DC so that it does not hide the unused version but puts it on a hidden layer instead
- Or explode the DC and use its (probably) subcomponents to put them on different layers and turn layer visibility on/off as needed.

thanks for the reply
im really new in this forums i tot i've put in a wrong forum.thanks again and sorry for my mistake.
the other option that i'm really looking at is create 3 different DC that reflected what is needed and insert what i need. the nice thing was that i could change the type for each door but is really not working because of hidden option.
in same room i can have glass and even panel door so if i have them on different layers i have to explode and than put them on layers as you said.
then after explode the click function won't work.

Why I have never got into DC's, myself. I've yet to see where they "save" work. Still hopeful.
