5 - Ribbon ... And autodesk jumped on the bandwagon.
Unfortunately, yes... But thankfully there is a way to switch it of...
So please!!!! Not this ribbon-s*** for sketchup!
...btw, i'm still using office 2003 because of this "new feature"

I dislike the new Office for that reason, too but I don't have a choice in the matter at work. I certainly don't want that for SketchUp.

you can already do this with the move tool.. or are you suggesting something different than what's already available?

What I'm referring to is the ability to move (or edit) vertices separately from the lines or planes they're a function of. ThomThom's Vertex tools does exactly that but I think Trimble should buy the plugin from ThomThom and incorporate it into the base application as it's such an essential function in 3D work.
And they should pay ThomThom handsomely for it because it's such a well designed, well thought out plugin.

I find it annoying too, but I believe it's a technical problem, inherent to the OpenGL technology, not SU itself. Plus, if it disappears, we wouldn't be able to zoom through geometry.

Make Layout and SketchUp file icons different so I'm not continually opening one thinking it's the other.
