Covering a face in pre designed facades
-
I premade facade parts and wanted to know if there was a plugin to cover a surface with a chosen component
-
If it's an orthogonal façade then use the Move +Ctrl +Nx to make the desired number of copies at a set component width apart at one floor level, then repeat that floor's façade elements up the same way vertically at the component's height...

Its a massing model that i want to add facades to so that isn't a practical option.

Explain how this idea won't work

It would its just not practical for the size of the project

I don't know of a plugin specific to your request. Maybe Component Stringer could be made to work.

Ive also got a plugin called components to faces you could try. But it just puts a components onto the center of a face. Not a lot of control as to how to orient the component, or scale or warp the component.

Perhaps a screen shot image of the 'parts' would help us understand the issue, better than us trying it extract it from you [like teeth!], drip by drip...
