Missing avatar

I did not realize it first as I myself have a different (from "Registered members") default user rgoup, too. Just visit the profile page of someone who is online and does not have an avatar to see how the online image shifts into the text. Now that's what I was trying to fix by testing what happens if there is a dummy avatar.
I do not think this will ever be a "Premium privilege" - it is much easier for everyone to identify "forum regulars" by an avatar at a glance - no matter they are premium or "regular" members.

Especially considering how careful you all are about not being intrusive with advertising. I appreciate all the work you do to keep the forum "business" in the background and let the community thrive.

Hmm lets check.

Certainly not blaming you, Gaieus. Without the incredible amount of work you guys put in to keep these forums up and running none of us would be able to enjoy using SU like we do. Because your tireless behind-the-scenes efforts are just that, behind the scenes, I think most of us tend to take for granted that the forums will be here whenever we need them without giving much thought about what it takes to make that happen.
Speaking for myself I say Thank You -

Now that I understand
but I prefer to think of it as a fuzzy black hole

And there's where the complexity comes in.

Missing avatar...
I thought it's a good excuse to change to something SU like
