Import SKP models have no VRAY textures
-
Hello,
I'm having a problem importing Sketchup models into other Sketchup files. For example, I created a car with VRAY materials, including reflections, etc. When I import this model into another Sketchup file the model comes in but without the VRAY materials. So, I'm left with a car that has no reflections or transparencies.
Is there a way to make this type of import work? It seems like there should be so that people can make libraries of specific 3D object.
Thanks for the help.

I think there's a bug in the latest version that makes this a little unpredictable.
I think you have the best chance if you import the model while V-Ray is not loaded.

Use ThomThoms VRay Toys plugin. This is a huge bug that is super annoying, but I do think they have addressed it in the next release.

Thanks for the tips. Is the bug in Vray or Sketchup?

Bug is VRay. Rumor is that this has been fixed in the next release already. We just are waiting for it to beta.
