SketchUp's maximum export resolution..
-
Guys, I have a request to provide an image that will suit a 7000x3600 [at 150dpi] billboard. What size can SU go too? I thought it was 4800x400 but I can seem to make it work....

Pixels... sorry, realise I should have stated that....

It depends on the model and what kind of style effects you have enabled. Some times it fails early, some times later. Layout is better at exporting larger resolutions.

So at 150 dpi, you have a 118.5x61 cm (46.65x24 inches). print size. IMO go to SU limits.

That's interesting, TT. I didn't think that styles would have an effect on export res... I was able to export a 7000x 5500 image that was suitable to the client; style I had active was shaded...

Not only does styles slow down export, but also general performance of SketchUp - just as much as shadows and transparency.

I knew shadows and styles slow down while operating so I guess that is to be expected.
