Tubes of varying diameter
-
Hello, I wanted to know how to join two circles of different diameters and create a tube of varying diameter(I model a bike).
Thank you in advance for your answers! -
Hi Clément and welcome!
You could use the scale tool on various sections of a tube. That's the "traditional" and manual way.
Then have a look at Curviloft plugin: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=28586

You can try this as well.
First make sure the centre of both pipes are aligned. Design the two pipes as you see fit.

Then add the line, geometry, curve, etc to create a flat surface.

Then select the line of the outer circle and press follow me . Click on the surface highlighted in pic 3 above with the follow me tool
and presto, you get the shape and design you desire.
You may use the upsample plugin to get high final geometry

Here's another way
