    Is it possible to collapse vertices or points in Sketchup as you can in Cinema4d.

      If you mean flatten vertices to a plane, or combine vertices into one, then there are several scripts to do this...
      Search the 'Plugins Index'...

        Merge all selected vertices to a point?
        I added such a feature to Vertex Tools 1.1 which I will release soon. It also has a function to merge vertices within a given proximity of each other.
